David Wayne Johnson (born October 24, 1959), is a retired American professional baseball player who was a pitcher in the Major Leagues for five seasons from 1987–1993. Johnson played for the Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Detroit Tigers.
A Guideposts article titled "Against the Odds" by Dave Johnson appeared in the May 1990, issue of the magazine (pp 2–5). He currently works as an analyst for MASN.
Johnson currently resides in Kingsville, Maryland. His son Steve pitches for the Orioles as of 2012.
