The Dallas Baptist University Patriots (also DBU Patriots) are the 15 athletic teams that represent the Dallas Baptist University, located in Dallas, Texas, in NCAA intercollegiate sports. All of the Patriot athletic teams compete at the Division II level with the exception of the baseball team, which plays in Division I. As such, all athletic teams, except for baseball, compete in the Heartland Conference while the baseball program is an associate member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Athletic Department also features a Christ-centered discipleship program, as a part of the mission to develop 'Champions for Christ'. DBU Athletics also launched the Global Sports Mission Initiative in 2007 to allow student-athletes the opportunity to share the love of Christ, while using their God-given athletics talents and gifts to minister and spread the Word of God abroad. The Global Sports Mission Initiative was created as a vision by Patriot Athletics and the DBU Global Missions Department and has included trips to Guatemala, Peru, Dominican Republic, South Korea, England, Brazil, Chile, Liberia, Scotland, China, Honduras, Curacoa, with plans for more trips in the near future.

With a focus on academic excellence, the Athletic Department has continued to experience an increase in student-athlete grade point averages through consistent and intentional engagement with student-athletes, partnerships with campus academic support centers and resources, study hall programs, and more.  In fall 2016, Patriot student-athletes earned a cumulative 3.30 GPA, with nearly 65% of these student-athletes earning a 3.0 GPA or higher. Additionally, DBU placed 116 student-athletes on the Heartland Conference Fall Honor Roll.

Over the last several years, additions have been made to the Athletic Department, including the construction of the Sadler Patriot Clubhouse, Patriot Athletic Guesthouse, Sedwick Soccer Fieldhouse, Joan and Andy Horner Ballpark, and the Athletic Training Center.

In addition, several new sports have been added, including: NCAA Div II Sports - Men's Basketball and Women’s Golf; Club Sports: Bass Fishing, Cheerleading, Drill Team, Ice Hockey, and Lacrosse.

DBU has recently seen their first-ever NCAA Regional Tournament appearances in Baseball, Men’s Basketball and Men and Women’s Golf, Women's Volleyball and a National appearance by the Women's Cross Country team.
