Jason Cano (born June 8, 1975, in Houston, Texas), better known as DJ Kane, is a Mexican American singer who was the lead vocalist for the Latin Grammy award winning A.B. Quintanilla y Los Kumbia Kings from 1997 to 2003 and A.B. Quintanilla y Los Kumbia All Starz from 2008 to 2010 and went on to become a successful solo artist.
Jason "DJ Kane" Cano was discovered by Latin artist A.B. Quintanilla III who made Cano the lead vocalist of Los Kumbia Kings.
This original lineup released six successful albums and sold an estimated five million units in total before disbanding. They had major hits with "Shhh!", "Boom Boom", "Desde Que No Estás Aquí" and "No Tengo Dinero" which were sung by DJ Kane.
DJ Kane was one of the original members along with Frankie J to leave Los Kumbia Kings for a solo career, and signed a contract with EMI Latin to record and form his own group. With help from veteran musicians Roland Gutierrez and Mariano Harerra, he put together a super group with musicians from famous backgrounds and a high power show which would leave audiences shocked. In 2004, he released his self-titled first album DJ Kane which went to number 8 on the Billboard charts with hits including "La Negra Tomasa" and "Mía", also earning two Latin Grammy nominations for Best Urban Album and Producer of the Year.
