Curculigo orchioides (commonly called golden eye-grass, xian mao, weevil-wort,black musli,Kali musli, or Kali Musali) is a flowering plant species in the genus Curculigo. It is native to China, Japan, Indian Subcontinent, Papuasia, Micronesia. It is known as Nilappana (നിലപ്പന) meaning ground palm in Malayalam. Odiya- କୁଆକେନ୍ଦା ,ତାଳମୂଳୀ Bengali-Tallur, Tamil-நிலப்பனை.
In C. orchidoides, curculigoside A, B, C and D and curculigine A and D can be found. Curculigosides are natural phenols found in C. orchioides that could be useful against β-amyloid aggregation.
