Cruger is a town in Holmes County, Mississippi. The population was 449 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 449 people, 161 households, and 112 families residing in the town. The population density was 462.5 people per square mile (178.7/km²). There were 177 housing units at an average density of 182.3 per square mile (70.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 74.16% African American 25.61% White and 0.22% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.23% of the population.
There were 161 households out of which 33.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 32.3% were married couples living together, 30.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.4% were non-families. 29.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.79 and the average family size was 3.46.
