Crooked Media is an American media company founded by three former top Barack Obama staffers. Their initial podcast, Pod Save America, is a left-leaning "no-bullshit conversation about politics."
Crooked Media is named after a favorite term used by President Trump. The site now hosts five different podcasts. When asked whether he thought Crooked Media was a “media company,” Mr. Favreau said, “I don’t know if it’s a political movement or a media company.”
The hosts said their openly liberal podcast, originally called “Keepin’ It 1600” — couldn’t have lasted forever at "The Ringer Podcast Network", which covers everything from sports to tech. So they left Ringer to create a new podcast network called "Crooked Media", in the hope that it would become a multimedia platform for political analysis and activism.
On October 4, 2017, the company announced a major expansion. A revamped website, Crooked.com will be helmed by Editor-In-Chief Brian Beutler and now feature written content and videos. The site will be "an arena for an honest and productive debate about American liberalism and how the Democratic Party should represent it".. The new expansion also includes a "Crooked Contributors network" who will be featured in podcasts, videos, and written articles and a new podcast "Crooked Conversations" will launch covering under-reported issues.
Crooked Media maintains several podcasts:
