Craig Tara is a holiday camp located near Ayr in South Ayrshire, Scotland. It is run by Haven Holidays. The site originally was Butlin's Ayr until 1998 when the then owners of Butlin's and Haven internally reorganised ownership of the camp. Since being taken over by Haven Holidays it has been renamed Craig Tara.
In 1999 the camp became part of Haven Holidays along with the Pwllheli camp as part of an internal reorganisation within Bourne Leisure who owned both Butlins and Haven. Since being taken over by Haven Holidays it has been renamed Craig Tara and the focus of operations has been transformed from predominantly chalet accommodation to mostly static caravan accommodation.
On the site the complex has franchise stores of both Burger King and Papa John's. It also has its own Restaurant The Brigs of Ayr. It is known for keeping part of the original Butlins element alive with its Craig Tara funfair which is generally open. There is also a mini golf course and as all Haven Parks live shows and entertainment put on inside the main centre. They also have a mini Costa shop open on site, and a large swimming pool.
There is a bus that runs from the park to Ayr Town Centre it runs once an hour and makes three different stops in the City Centre. Head's of Ayr Farm Park is neighbour to the Craig Tara park.
