Craig Beattie (born 16 January 1984) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Edinburgh City as a striker.
He started his career with Celtic before moving on to West Bromwich Albion and then Swansea City where he has had loan spells with several Football League clubs. He then returned to Scotland to play for Hearts, where he won a Scottish Cup winners medal. Beattie has since played for St Johnstone, Barnet, Dundee, Ayr United and Stirling Albion.
He has seven caps for the Scotland national football team scoring once. He has also represented Scotland at U19, U21 and B levels.
Beattie trained with Hearts at under 12 level before starting his career as a schoolboy with Rangers. After being released by manager Dick Advocaat, he joined Celtic.
During a Celtic under-19 pre-season friendly against prominent Irish side Derry City, Beattie scored all six goals in a 6–0 win. He went on to make his senior debut aged 19 on 6 August 2003, as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League qualifying round 1–0 victory against FBK Kaunas. He made his league debut on 16 August against Dundee United. In his debut season he made 17 appearances, including starting in the UEFA Cup match against Barcelona.
