Colwich is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States. It is five miles northwest of Wichita. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 1,327.
Colwich was founded in 1887. The name is a portmanteau of Colorado and Wichita, or the Colorado & Wichita Railroad.
Colwich is located at 37°46′50″N 97°32′26″W / 37.78056°N 97.54056°W (37.780480, -97.540420). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.33 square miles (3.44 km2), all of it land.
