Colorado elections, 2018


A general election will be held in the U.S. state of Colorado on November 6, 2018. All of Colorado's executive officers will be up for election as well as all of Colorado's seven seats in the United States House of Representatives.

Incumbent Democratic Governor John Hickenlooper is term-limited and cannot run for a third consecutive term in office.

Incumbent Republican Attorney General Cynthia Coffman has not announced whether she will run for re-election to a second term. Coffman is rumored to be considering running for governor instead.

Incumbent Republican Secretary of State Wayne Williams is eligible to run for re-election to a second term.

Incumbent Republican State Treasurer Walker Stapleton is term-limited and cannot run for a third consecutive term in office.

Businessman Rich Sokol, 2014 CO-02 nominee George Leing, businessman Brian Watson and Jefferson County Treasurer Tim Kauffman. State Senator Owen Hill considered running but decided instead to make a primary challenge of Doug Lamborn for Colorado's 5th congressional district. 2016 CO-02 nominee Nic Morse also considered running, but has decided not to run.

Two seats on the seven-member State Board of Education are up for election in 2018. These include the 2nd district seat currently held by Democrat Angelika Schroeder and the 4th district seat held by Republican Pam Mazanec.
