Colonial Heights is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sullivan County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 6,934 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kingsport–Bristol (TN)–Bristol (VA) Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area – commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.2 square miles (16 km2), of which, 6.0 square miles (16 km2) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 km2) of it (4.15%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 7,067 people, 2,811 households, and 2,217 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,086.5 people per square mile (419.8/km²). There were 2,936 housing units at an average density of 451.4/sq mi (174.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.59% White, 0.88% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.67% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.20% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races.
