Club Deportivo Club de Fútbol Salmantino (commonly known as Club de Fútbol Salmantino), is a Spanish football team based in Salamanca.
Founded on 30 July 1943 with the name of CD Salmantino, it was the reserve team of UD Salamanca. It was refunded in 2013, after the dissolution of the UDS, acquiring its actual name. Plays with the historical black and white colours that distinguish football from Salamanca, and plays its encounters at Estadio Helmántico.
Nowadays plays the Primera División Regional Aficionados de Castilla y León.
The club was founded as farm team of UD Salamanca, named Club de Fútbol Salmantino on 30 July 1943.This first club project only lasted four seasons, and the UD Salamanca had to set it aside for a while on 1947, probably because of economical reasons.
It wasn't until the 53-54 season that the project was resumed. The club had to be named Club Deportivo Salmantino, and in him played the UD Salamanca players that didn't usually do it with the first team. The colours chosen to play were purple t-shirt and white pants, eventhought they come back to the traditional black and white at the request of some UDS presidents.
For some years, it was known as UD Salamanca B, but in 06-07 season it come back to the old name.
After the dissolution of the UD Salamanca, some managers of the entity decided to refoundate the farm team to continue compiting maintaining the legacy of the historical club. So, they created the CD CF Salmantino. At first, it started playing with the same division that did the old CD Salmantino. Nevertheless, the Royal Spanish Football Federation decided on 2015 to descend the club to the last division, considering, for legal purposes, the CF Salmantino a club of new foundation.
On the 15-16 season, the club ascended to the Primera División Regional Aficionados de Castilla y León.
