"Closer to Me" is the second single from British boyband Five's third and final studio album, Kingsize. Released on 24 November 2001, the single found major success, peaking at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart. In Britain, the single was released as a double A-side with "Rock the Party", however, in other countries, both songs were released as separate singles. "Closer to Me" was the band's final British release.
The song was noted as Five's goodbye single, with the band breaking up after doing promotional appearances for it. Although taken from Kingsize, it was released as part of the promotion for their Greatest Hits album.
The video for the song was directed by Max & Dania, and featured various vintage band footage.
