A planned "reward day" for a prisoner goes horribly wrong when one guard is killed, another injured and the prisoner on the loose. As Homicide try to find the escapee, and the truth, Nick is pulled off the case to do an interview with budding journalist Juliette Gardiner regarding the case of wife-killer Dane Majors, which Nick solved ten years ago. But as the manhunt intensifies and the relationship between Nick and Juliette turns physical, Juliette gets a tip-off to investigate Nick's involvement in the Majors case – could he be a corrupt cop?
Special Guest: David Field as Terry Jarvis
When an unidentified woman is found strangled and dumped, Homicide are drawn into the swingers scene. Rhys and a very reluctant Allie go undercover at a questionable sex party, and Juliette delves deeper into the Majors case, her mysterious informant continues to suggest Nick's corruption...but is he right?
There were three people who witnessed the gunning down of investigative reporter Juliette Gardiner – her killer, her mysterious informant, and her ex-lover Nick Buchanan. Juliette's death brings to light Nick's involvement in possible evidence fabrication that convicted Dane Majors of killing his wife Tahnee. Nick was so sure that Majors was guilty – but now a niggle has grown into doubt that Majors was actually the killer. As Nick clamours for answers by continuing to pressure Detective Senior Sergeant Bruce Dalton, the team try to keep the media and the state Attorney-General happy. But how far will they go to protect one of their own?
Special Guest: David Field as Terry Jarvis
The case that made Detective Nick Buchanan's career has fallen apart. Dane Majors is now a free man and the murder that saw him put away has been reopened. Who really did kill Tahnee Majors? Meanwhile, Deep Throat is still leaking information to the Tribune, and while Rhys tries to get his hands on it, Jennifer tries to turn Nick out of his stupor. But everything is about to come crashing down with a bang when a homemade bomb claims another victim.
