Chitila (Romanian pronunciation: [kiˈtila]) is a town in the west of Ilfov County, Romania, situated 9 km to the north west of Bucharest. It is often seen as a satellite town of Bucharest. One village, Rudeni, is administered by the town.
Chitilia is linked to Bucharest by one bus route (422) run by RATB, Bucharest's municipal transport operator, and the railways coming from Buzău and Ploiești.
