Chilchinbito is located at 36°31′50″N 110°3′50″W / 36.53056°N 110.06389°W (36.530559, -110.063832). total area of 23.8 square miles (62 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 462 people, 111 households, and 89 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 19.4 people per square mile (7.5/km²). There were 167 housing units at an average density of 7.0/sq mi (2.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.70% Native American and 1.30% White. None of the population is Hispanic or Latino of any race.
