Chesterville is a town in Franklin County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,352 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 37.55 square miles (97.25 km2), of which, 36.17 square miles (93.68 km2) of it is land and 1.38 square miles (3.57 km2) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,352 people, 549 households, and 392 families residing in the town. The population density was 37.4 inhabitants per square mile (14.4/km2). There were 779 housing units at an average density of 21.5 per square mile (8.3/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.3% White, 0.1% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.4% of the population.
There were 549 households of which 29.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.2% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 28.6% were non-families. 22.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
