The HonourableCharles Robert Porter (Greenwich, England – 14 April 2004 in Brisbane, Australia) was an Australian politician, author, playwright and broadcaster. He was the Liberal member for the Electoral district of Toowong in the Legislative Assembly of the Australian state of Queensland from 1966 to 1980.
14 May 1910 inOne of his two sons was Olympic field athlete Charles "Chilla" Porter, who during the 1970s and 1980s was director of Western Australia's Liberal Party. His grandson, Christian Porter, is the Liberal member for Pearce in Western Australia in the Australian House of Representatives.
