Chapra is a Census Town in Chapra CD Block under Krishnanagar Sadar subdivision of Nadia district in the state of West Bengal, India. The town is situated beside the Indo-Bangladesh border.
As per the 2011 Census of India, Chapra had a total population of 14,123, of which 7,161 (51%) were males and 6,962 (49%) were females. Population below 6 years was 1,436. The total number of literates in Chapra was 10,086 (79.50% of the population over 6 years).
