The Changping Line of the Beijing Subway (Chinese: 北京地铁昌平线; pinyin: běijīng dìtiě chāngpíng xiàn) is a half elevated, half underground rapid transit line in northern Beijing. The line started construction in 2009. In September 2010, Construction of Phase I was completed, and was followed by three-month test run. Phase I of the line opened on December 30, 2010 and ran north from the Xi'erqi station on Line 13 to Nanshao. On December 26, 2015, Phase II of the line opened, extending the line northwards to the Thirteen Tombs Scenic Area and terminating at Changping Xishankou station. It now connects the central Changping District with the Beijing subway network.

During rush hours, the section between Life Science Park and Xi'erqi Stations is the most congested section in the Beijing subway network, operating at 132% capacity.

The Changping Line runs parallel and to the east of the Badaling Expressway, passing near the townships of Shahe and Nanshao.

A south extension beyond the current southern terminus of Xi'erqi has been proposed. Originally planned to end at Xizhimen with the entire extension sharing the right of way with Line 13 between Xizhimen and Xi'erqi, on a quadruple track layout. However, due to capacity issues at Xizhimen, the proposal has since been revised and Changping Line will parallel Line 13 and terminate at Jishuitan instead, with transfers to Line 2. The south extension is planned to be completed by 2020

The planned route of the Changping Line was chosen from three alternatives. The other original options placed the southern terminus of the line at the Beijing North Railway Station near Line 2 at Xizhimen and at Huoying, with transfers not only to Line 8 but to Line 13 as well. One original alternative plan set Phase II at 16.7 km with one extra station beyond the Ming Tombs.
