Chanda Mama Door Ke is an upcoming Indian Hindi science-fiction space film. It is directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan and produced by Viki Rajani. It stars Sushant Singh Rajput ,Nawazuddin Siddiqui and R. Madhavan. Sushant and Nawazuddin Siddiqui play astronauts while R. Madhavan will play the role of a test pilot in the film. It is inspired from the 1968 Hollywood hit 2001: A Space Odyssey. It is reported as first space adventure film of India. The film traces the journey of India's space programme and culminates with the India's first astronaut landing on the moon in 2017-18. The film is scheduled to release on 26 January 2018.
Sushant started his training in January 2017 in Boeing 737 in Dubai. The training preparations are in zero gravity scenes and also underwater diving scenes. Hollywood technicians of films like Apollo 13 have been roped in for the film. Apollo 13’s and The Martian special effects supervisor, John Palmer, designed an 11-layer spacesuit for Sushant, who will head towards to NASA.
