Champdani is a city and a municipality, near the River Ganges, in Hooghly district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is under Bhadreshwar police station in Chandannagar subdivision. This town is famous six factories, viz.the GIS Cotton Mill,Dalhousie Jute Mill,North Brook jute Mill,Angus jute Mill, Lagan engineering, and Braithwate Ltd(ministry of railway)

The Ganga River in the east, farming area in the west (like Singur area), Bhadreshwar is in the north side, and Baidyabati in south side.
