Chaetodon pelewensis also known as the dot dash butterflyfish, Spotbanded Butterflyfish, Punctato Butterflyfish, or Spot-band Butterflyfish is a fish species native to Indonesia and has a yellow-tan body. When it matures it becomes yellow dorsally with about seven vertical dark stripes on the upper half of the body, with rows of dark spots below. They can grow anywhere from 5-12 inches.

With the right knowledge they are easy to care for. They need at least a 50 gallon aquarium, and should have numerous hiding places, and need calm tankmates. Their natural diet consists mainly of coral polyps (hard and soft) and worms, yet accepts most aquarium food. They need to be fed several times a day. They require nitrate and phosphate free water.
