Ceriops tagal (spurred mangrove,Indian mangrove, Afrikaans: Indiese wortelboom, Zulu: Isinkaha) is a mangrove tree species in the family Rhizophoraceae. It is a protected tree in South Africa. The specific epithet tagal is a plant name from the Tagalog language.

Ceriops tagal grows as a tree up to 25 metres (80 ft) tall with a trunk diameter of up to 45 cm (18 in). Its grey-brown bark is smooth to flaky. The ovoid fruits measure up to 2.5 cm (1 in) long.

Ceriops tagal grows naturally in Eastern and Southern Africa, Madagascar, Seychelles, India, China, Indo-China, Malesia, Papuasia, the Caroline Islands, New Caledonia and Australia. Its habitat is in brackish water areas near tidal lines.

The durable wood is used in house construction. It is also used as charcoal and firewood.
