Carroll Township is a township in York County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,939 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 15.0 square miles (39 km2), all of it land. It is located along the northern boundary of York County in south-central Pennsylvania and surrounds the borough of Dillsburg.
As of the census of 2000, there were 4,715 people, 1,686 households, and 1,414 families residing in the township. The population density was 314.2 people per square mile (121.3/km²). There were 1,733 housing units at an average density of 115.5/sq mi (44.6/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.69% White, 0.40% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.83% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.17% from other races, and 0.81% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.78% of the population.
There were 1,686 households out of which 39.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.7% were married couples living together, 5.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.1% were non-families. 13.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.76 and the average family size was 3.01.
In the township the population was spread out with 26.4% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 25.8% from 45 to 64, and 11.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 98.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.6 males.
