Carolina Stanley (born November 22, 1975) is an Argentine lawyer and politician of British descent.
She is the current Minister of Social Development of the Argentine Nation, designated by President Mauricio Macri.
Carolina Stanley was born in Buenos Aires on November 22, 1975. Her father, William Stanley is an English lawyer, and his mother, María Cristina Tate has Welsh origin. She completed primary and secondary education at the bilingual Saint Catherine School, in Belgrano, Buenos Aires.1 She graduated as a lawyer at the University of Buenos Aires with an average of 9.45.
In 1998 she began working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship as a consultant in the North American Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs. Two years later she worked at the El Observatorio Social Foundation. Later she was an advisor on social policy issues of the legislator María Laura Leguizamón between 2000 and 2003.
He began her membership in Republican Proposal (PRO) in 2003, worked between 2004 and 2007 as executive director of the think tank Grupo Sophia, along with Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
She began working in the Ministry of Social Development of Buenos Aires with the arrival of Mauricio Macri to the Head of Government in 2007, who appointed her to the front of the General Directorate for Strengthening Civil Society. In 2009, she was elected Legislator for Buenos Aires. In 2011 she was in charge of the Ministry of Social Development, when María Eugenia Vidal was elected Deputy First of the City.
