Carl von In der Maur (Carl von In der Maur auf Strelburg und zu Freifeld), also spelled Karl von In der Maur, (October 16, 1852 - December 11, 1913) was an Austrian aristocrat and statesman who served in the court of the Prince of Liechtenstein and later as the Governor of Liechtenstein.

Carl von In der Maur auf Strelburg und zu Freifeld was born on October 16, 1852 in Wiener Neustadt. He belonged to the old Tyrolese noble family In der Maur zu Strelburg und Freifeld, which possessed the title of baron and were members of the Austrian Landadel, ruling over their own landstände in Tyrol. His father was Dr. Carl von In der Maur, who served in the Austrian government as the Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Education. In der Maur attended secondary school in Vienna before studying law and political science at the Theresian Military Academy, where he graduated with honors in 1875.

After finishing school, In der Maur entered the Lower Austrian State Service where he was appointed as the National Administrator. In Vaduz he served as Presidential Secretary. On 24 September 1884, at the age of thirty-two, In der Maur became the Princely Land Administrator in Vaduz to Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein. In der Maur was appointed to Princely Cabinet Council in Vienna in 1892. After the death of Friedrich Stellwag von Carion in 1896, In der Maur returned to Vaduz to serve again as a state administrator. He continued to serve as a regional administrator, becoming Governor of Liechtenstein and holding the office until his death.

In 1901, he became a co-founder and board member of the Historical Association for the Principality of Liechtenstein.

He received the Jubilee Medal for imperial and royal civil state servants in Austria and was awarded the Cross of the Imperial and Royal Austrian Order of Franz Joseph in 1909. In 1909, on the occasion of his twenty-fifth anniversary serving the Prince of Liechtenstein, he was awarded Honorary Citizenship of the Principality of Liechtenstein by the Landtag.
