Cardwell is a city in Dunklin County, Missouri, United States. The population was 713 at the 2010 census. The current Mayor of Cardwell is Jesse Taylor.
Cardwell was platted in 1895. The community was named after Frank Cardwell, an Arkansas banker who lent money to the town's founders. A post office has been in operation at Cardwell since 1895.
