Canadian Newspaper Association

The Canadian Newspaper Association (CNA) is the national organization of daily newspapers in Canada, founded in 1996. It is a non-profit trade association and lobby organization, which represents more than 100 Canadian English and French newspapers. The CNA is associated with the annual National Newspaper Awards for newspaper writing and administers the Edward Goff Penny Memorial Prizes for Young Canadian Journalists, first established in 1991.

"Newspapers Canada" is a joint project of the Canadian Newspaper Association and the Canadian Community Newspapers Association. Its main role is to represent the needs of CNA and CCNA members in three areas: public affairs, marketing and member services.
