Camden County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2010 Census, the population was 44,002. Its county seat is Camdenton. The county was organized January 29, 1841 as Kinderhook County and renamed in 1843 for Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden, Lord Chancellor of the United Kingdom, and leader of the Whig Party.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 709 square miles (1,840 km2), of which 656 square miles (1,700 km2) is land and 53 square miles (140 km2) (7.4%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 37,051 people, 15,779 households, and 11,297 families residing in the county. The population density was 57 people per square mile (22/km²). There were 33,470 housing units at an average density of 51 per square mile (20/km²). The racial makeup of the county was 97.68% White, 0.26% Black or African American, 0.49% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. Approximately 0.93% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
