Butterfield is a village in Butterfield Township, Barry County, Missouri, United States. The population was 470 at the 2010 census.

Butterfield was platted in 1883. The town has the name of Fredrick Butterfield, a railroad official.

Butterfield is located at 36°44′56″N 93°54′12″W / 36.74889°N 93.90333°W / 36.74889; -93.90333 (36.748775, -93.903469).
