The Butler Area School District covers the City of Butler, the Boroughs of Connoquenessing and East Butler and Butler Township, Center Township, Clearfield Township, Connoquenessing Township, Oakland Township and Summit Township. The district has six elementary schools (grades K - 4th), one junior high school (5th-6th), one intermediate high school (7th-9th), and one senior high school (10th - 12th).
