The Buffalo Fire Department provides fire protection and first responder emergency medical services to the city of Buffalo, New York. The department serves a population of over 260,000 people in a geographic area of approximately 42 square miles (110 km2).
As of June 2015[update], the Buffalo Fire Department operates out of nineteen fire stations.
