Buffalo is a census-designated place (CDP) in Liberty Township, White County, Indiana, United States. The population was 672 at the 2000 census.
Buffalo was platted in 1886, and named after Buffalo, New York, the native state of an early settler.
The Buffalo post office has been in operation since 1851.
