Buchillon is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud, located in the district of Morges.

Buchillon is first mentioned in 1228 as Chanliva. In 1339 it was mentioned as Buschillion.

Buchillon has an area, as of 2009, of 2.1 square kilometers (0.81 sq mi). Of this area, 0.89 km2 (0.34 sq mi) or 41.8% is used for agricultural purposes, while 0.67 km2 (0.26 sq mi) or 31.5% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.55 km2 (0.21 sq mi) or 25.8% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.04 km2 (9.9 acres) or 1.9% is either rivers or lakes.

Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 20.2% and transportation infrastructure made up 5.2%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 28.6% is used for growing crops and 6.1% is pastures, while 7.0% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.

The municipality was part of the Morges District until it was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Buchillon became part of the new district of Morges.

The municipality is located along Lake Geneva. It consists of the village of Buchillon and settlement of Chanivaz in the Aubonne river delta.

The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Gules, between two crossed oars Or a barrel of the same.

Buchillon has a population (as of December 2015) of 625. As of 2008, 21.0% of the population are resident foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years (1999–2009 ) the population has changed at a rate of -5.7%. It has changed at a rate of -8.5% due to migration and at a rate of 3.2% due to births and deaths.
