John and T.J. Osborne were born in Deale, Maryland. They performed in an original high school band known as Jax 'n' Jive as well as a local cover band called Deuce and a Quarter. Jax 'n' Jive existed from 1995-1999, and won the Southern High School Battle Of The Bands in 1999. They went on to perform at Anne Arundel County's first Battle Of The Bands in 1999. Jax 'n' Jive released Welcome To Planet Jive, a professionally recorded album containing nine original songs. Additional members of Jax 'n' Jive included Lee Cain, Tony Scoglio, Vinnie Scoglio, Josh Rudderforth, and Brian Dobbs.

John and T.J. Osborne moved to Nashville, Tennessee in the mid-2000s. Upon moving there, they signed a publishing contract with Warner Chappell, followed by a recording contract with the Nashville branch of EMI.

It also reached Top 40 on Country Airplay, and is included on a five-song, self-titled extended play released in September 2014.

Their third single is "Stay a Little Longer". This song originally appeared on the extended play, but the brothers re-recorded it with producer Jay Joyce for the single release. It has become their third consecutive top 40 country hit, and their first top 10 single, peaking at number 2 in January 2016.
