Brix & The Extricated are an English alternative band, formed in 2014 in Manchester, following the launch event for Steve Hanley's autobiography "The Big Midweek" (four of the five members were one-time members of The Fall), including Fall songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Brix Smith, and long term Fall members Steve Hanley and his brother Paul.
Their live set initially consisted of Fall songs they had co-written, however this quickly expanded to include critically and fan acclaimed new material. In 2016 they performed a live session for fellow ex-Fall member Marc Riley's 6 Music show in January, played the Latitude and Rebellion festivals in Summer and toured the UK in November.
