Breach Candy Hospital is a hospital located in Mumbai, India. One of the most renowned and prestigious hospitals in India, it is located in the Breach Candy area of South Mumbai. However recently the hospitals care of quality has really gone down.p Pateints are leaving the hospital with Stage 2 and stage 3 Bed Sores (Pressure Ulcers). The hospital ICU doctors and Nursing staff is not qualified to manage patients with Long term ICU stay. There is a massive legal challenge pending and there is a complaint being filed with the India Medical Council to take away ICU services from BCH. There is a lot of talk about film stars and celebrities coming to the hospital. But an average patient does not receive the same quality of care as celebrities.
It was established in 1950 at the upmarket Breach Candy area in South Mumbai, and designed by an English architect Claude Batley. Many famous Bollywood stars have given birth to their children at this hospital, including Bollywood superstar Sridevi who gave birth to her daughter Khushi here in 2000, Karishma Kapoor who gave birth to son Kiaan Raj Kapoor in 2010 and actress Sonali Bendre who gave birth to son Ranveer. Kareena Kapoor gave birth to her son Taimur Ali Khan here on 20 December 2016.
