Borusan Holding A.Ş. is a Turkish industrial group headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey. The company operates through the following segments: steel, distributorships , energy, and logistics.

The company was founded by Asım Kocabıyık in 1944 as an iron-steel trading business. Today Borusan Group operates in 3 continents, 11 countries.

Borusan began in 1944 as İstikbal Ticaret, trading in iron, steel and agricultural products. The first industrial enterprise was steel pipe manufacturing in 1958, a business which expanded throughout the 1960s 1970s into manufacturing industrial machinery, valves for internal combustion engines, and logistics. By 1972, after integrating the steel pipe operations, all Borusan companies were brought together under Borusan Holding. In 1977 Borusan Yatırım was founded. The Company joined major Borusan companies which have been operating in steel, distributorship and integrated logistics industries up to the present. In 1984 Borusan Oto became the Turkish distributor of BMW, later expanding in this area to distribute Caterpillar earth moving equipment, and Landrover vehicles. In 1998 Borusan Yatırım went public.

The partnership with Mannesmann in 1998 placed Borusan among the top five steel pipe producers in Europe with a production capacity of 1 million tons, from factories in Gemlik, Istanbul and İzmit. In addition, Borusan has a factory in Italy with a production capacity of 32.000 tons per year of cold drawn pipe. In 1999 The Borusan Chamber Orchestra was transformed into a philharmonic orchestra.

In 2012 the Corporation decided to establish a pipe manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 300 thousand tons in United States with an investment of 150 million dollars. Two years later Borusan Mannesmann inaugurated the plant established in Houston with an investment of 150 million dollars.

In 2014 the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra became the one and only orchestra from Turkey that was invited to BBC Proms, one of the most prestigious classical music festivals in the world. 6,000 thousand classical music lovers attended the concert held in 29 July.
