The Bold Ruler Handicap is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually at the end of October at Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park, Queens, New York. A Grade III event, it is contested on dirt at a distance of six furlongs.

The race is named for U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee, Bold Ruler. The race was run as a handicap prior to 1981.

The Bold Ruler Handicap had been hosted by Belmont Park and was at Aqueduct Racetrack in 2001. It was moved back to the Aqueduct track for 2009. And to Belmont in 2010.

In the 1998 running, Kelly Kip, ridden by Jean-Luc Samyn, set an Aqueduct track record of 1:07.61 for the six furlongs distance. Samyn and Kelly Kip returned the following year to break that record, running the six furlongs in 1:07.54.

In 2009 the Bold Ruler was run at 7 furlongs.
