Boban Marjanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Бобан Марјановић; born August 15, 1988) is a Serbian professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also represented the Serbian national basketball team in international competitions. Standing at 7 ft 3 in (2.21 m), he plays the center position. In 2015, Marjanović earned an All-EuroLeague First Team selection.
Marjanović began playing basketball with the youth teams of Boljevac-based club Rtanj. At the age of 14, Serbian professional team Hemofarm took his talents; he was already 2.09 m (6 ft 10 1⁄2 in) tall at the time. With their youth categories he played until 2005–06 season.
Marjanović joined the first team of Hemofarm in the second half of 2005–06 season; team which played the Adriatic League. He played with them until January 2007 when he was loaned to the Serbian League team Swisslion Takovo. After half a season there, he returned to Hemofarm. In the following seasons, he played an important role for his team, together with his other teammates that he played with from the Serbian junior national team, Stefan Marković and Milan Mačvan.
In the summer of 2010, Marjanović signed a three-year contract with CSKA Moscow, on the insistence of Duško Vujošević. However, after Vujošević got fired, Marjanović lost his place in CSKA's senior men's first team. On December 31, 2010, he was loaned to Žalgiris, until the end of the 2010–11 season.
