Bilbolbul is an Italian comic strip series created by Attilio Mussino.
Bilbolbul was published by the children magazine Il Corriere dei Piccoli from 1908 to 1933. It is commonly considered Italy's first comic. The main character, Bilbolbul, is an African kid who takes always strictly to the letter and somatizes the most common metaphors and ways of saying, with surreal and bizarre effects.
