The town is called Between because it is between two major cities in Georgia — Atlanta and Athens which are almost exactly equidistant to Between. It is also between Walton County's two largest cities, Loganville and Monroe.

Between is located at 33°48′50″N 83°48′33″W / 33.81389°N 83.80917°W / 33.81389; -83.80917 (33.813956, -83.809170).
