Benazir Ahmed is a Bangladeshi police officer and the director general of Rapid Action Battalion.
Ahmed was the superintendent of police of Sardah Police Academy in 2001. He was promoted to deputy inspector general as posted in Police Training Centre in Tangail. He was deprived of promotion allegedly during the government of Bangladesh Nationalist Party as part of discrimination against police officers from Gopalganj and police officers from minority religions. He was the former Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. He criticized Transparency International Bangladesh report on Bangladesh police which he described as criticizing the Police "cruelly" and "unjustly" in 2013. He is the incumbent Director General of Rapid Action Battalion. He was made the DG of RAB in December 2014.
Benazir Ahmed studied English literature at Dhaka University and is doing PhD at an American university.
