Barun Sobti (born 21 August 1984) is an Indian television and film actor.

He started his acting career with the STAR Plus' faith-oriented television series Shraddha. His first noticeable role was of Shravan Jaiswal in Baat Hamari Pakki Hai opposite Ankita Sharma.

He gained popularity with the romantic drama Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon , opposite Sanaya Irani, with his portrayal as the hot-shot business tycoon Arnav Singh Raizada.

He made a comeback with the webseries 'Tanhaiyan' opposite Surbhi Jyoti.

Barun did his schooling in St. Mark's School, Varun New Delhi. Before entering into entertainment industry, he worked as an operation manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 years. He married his childhood sweetheart Pashmeen Manchanda on 12 December 2010 in a Gurudwara.

Sobti first appeared as Swayam Khuranain the faith-oriented show Shraddha on Star Plus, opposite Neha Janpandit, which was received good response. He then appeared in a negative cameo role of Dr. Raj in the popular show Dill Mill Gayye, after which he bagged the lead role of a laid-back carefree Shravan Jaiswal in the television fiction show Baat Hamari Pakki Hai.

Sobti then went on to star in the drama Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?. He played the character of Arnav Singh Raizada, a rude and suave businessman who passionately falls for a girl Khushi Kumari Gupta played by Sanaya Irani. The show as well as his character received an overwhelming response from the audience as well as the critics, which is very rare and he immediately became a household name gaining extreme name and fame. After Sobti announced his "break" from the show producers ended the show. In 2013, he was titled the 3rd Sexiest Asian Man by UK magazine Eastern Eye. In 2016, he was named the 6th Most Sexiest Asian Man leaving Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh behind.
