Baruipur subdivision is a subdivision of the South 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal, India. It consists of three municipalities (Baruipur and Jaynagar Mazilpur) and seven community development blocks: Baruipur, Bhangar–I, Bhangar–II, Jaynagar–I, Jaynagar–II, Kultali and Sonarpur. The seven blocks contain two census towns and 80 gram panchayats. The subdivision has its headquarters at Baruipur with Subhash Gram.
Apart from the municipalities of Baruipur, Rajpur Sonarpur and Jaynagar Mazilpur, the subdivision contains two census towns and rural areas of 80 gram panchayats under seven community development blocks: Baruipur, Bhangar–I, Bhangar–II, Jaynagar–I, Jaynagar–II, Kultali and Sonarpur. The two census towns are: Bhangar Raghunathpur and Uttar Durgapur.
Rural area under Baruipur block consists of 18 gram panchayats: Begumpur, Dhapdhapi–II, Mallickpur, Shankarpur–II, Belegachhi, Hardhah, Nabagram, Shikharbali–I, Brindakhali, Hariharpur, Ramnagar–I, Shikharbali–II, Champahati, Kalyanpur, Ramnagar–II, Dhapdhapi–I, Madarhat and Shankarpur–I. There is no urban area under this block. Baruipur police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is in Piyali Town.
Rural area under Bhangar–I block consists of nine gram panchayats: Bodra, Durgapur, Pranganj, Chandaneswar–I, Jagulgachhi, Shanksahar, Chandaneswar–II, Narayanpur and Tarda. Urban area under this block consists of one census town: Bhangar Raghunathpur. Bhangar police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is in Gobindapur.
