Barnard is a city in Nodaway County, Missouri, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 221.
Barnard was platted in 1870. The city was named for J. F. Barnard, a railroad official. A post office called Barnard has been in operation since 1871.
Barnard is located at 40°10′29″N 94°49′22″W / 40.17472°N 94.82278°W (40.174742, -94.822839), on the east bank of the One Hundred and Two River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.15 square miles (0.39 km2), all of it land.
