Barkhera is a town and a nagar panchayat in Pilibhit district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

As of the 2001 Census of India, Barkhera had a population of 9,881. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Barkhera has an average literacy rate of 41%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 70% of the males and 30% of females literate. 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.
