Barczewko [barˈt͡ʂɛfkɔ] (German: Altwartenburg) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Barczewo, within Olsztyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) west of Barczewo and 10 km (6 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
While traditionally Prussian, from the Middle Ages it was part of East Prussia which with the Second Peace of Thorn in 1466 became a vassal of the Kingdom of Poland until 1772. Between 1772 and 1945 it belonged to the Kingdom of Prussia and Germany.
The village grew up around a fortification founded by vogt Friedrich von Liebenzelle. The village is mentioned in written sources for the first time on 26 December 1329. In the winter of 1353-54 the village was destroyed by Lithuanian troops. It was later rebuilt but further to the east of the original location. The village church dates from 1582.
The village has a population of 1,050.
