BandNews TV is a Brazilian 24-hour satellite and cable television news channel owned by Grupo Bandeirantes. It was the second news channel launched in the Brazilian cable/satellite market.
BandNews' format shows rolling news bulletins, updated every 30 minutes. The channel also broadcasts Jornal da Band weeknights at 8:30, one hour later the original broadcast on Band. It airs a 15-minute block with talk shows about business and culture and short documentaries during the break between the news bulletins. BandNews is the third most watched Brazilian news channel around the country after GloboNews and Record News and it was the first Brazilian news network to broadcast in HD.
The channel's main idea is to cover news stories without let viewers having to wait to the newscasts (which is the format on GloboNews and Record News). No matter day or night, they can tune to BandNews to get today's news, weather, traffic and sports updates, as they happen.
BandNews TV is the only Brazilian "all news" channel. The time in brackets below is "timeslot" and exclusive magazines interrupt it if necessary.
